Update on the babe!

So little Kylie (literally little) is doing pretty well over all. She is having issues still with her intestine but other then that she is doing great. If her intestine doesn't start working then it means more surgery. This time they may have to cut out the bad part of her intestine and sew the hole back up. Poor little girl has been through A LOT in her short 6 days of life. She had surgery Sunday night after being life flighted down to Primary Childrens Medical Center Saturday night. They choose to send her down here for the treatment they felt she would need. They were hoping to find a blockage in her intestine and sure enough that is what they found. Fixed that sewed her back up and she was well on her way to recover. Yesterday when I was seeing her with Shannon she was getting fluid sucked out of her stomach he fluid was green which is what they do not want. Green means it's not moving through and not digesting. So surgery looks to be back on unless it starts working right. I just found out Sunday night they took out her appendix too. Ha ha ha poor girl can say she had her appendix out when she was two days old. I guess they figure if she doesn't need it to live why not take it out the. It won't cause problems later on. She is doing well and her biopsy came back and she doesn't have hirsprings or whatever it's called. Which is wonderful news so they are just waiting for the doctors okay to start feeding her and hopefully that will help her intestines to start working correctly and hopefully she won't need another surgery. I said to Taylor yesterday just remember she may have been born with this if she was full term. Him and Shannon both agreed that they are glad they weren't living two hundred years ago and crossing the plains. It's sad to think of what they had to go through. Saturday night while I was sitting at PCMC with my mom I started to get teary eyed and I still hadn't met Kylie at that point. I truly believe this is just a little bump in the road that Heavenly Father has given our family, not to make it a burden for us but simply to make us stronger. I am so grateful for the knowledge of families and even though Kylie's life was never on the line
I am grateful to know that one day only through Heavenly Fathers plan we would be able to see her again. And Taylor and Shannon would be able to raise her as if she would have never left this world. What a blessing that is and for that I am grateful.

Kylie Anne Woods

Little miss Kylie here was born April 22 2011 at 3:51 pm she weighs 4 lbs 10 oz. And is 17.5 inches long! Apparently we know how to grow the grand daughters real big in this family!!!!!!! My first niece Fiel was born on St. Patties Day 2004 and was 4 lbs 14 oz and 16.5 inches long! Kylie was due June 3rd, Fiel April 10th. Kylie was six weeks early while Fiel was five. Fiel was the first in her family while Kylie is the first in her's :) so many fun similarities between the two! The thing I think will be the most fun is to show Fiel how small she was as well as Help us remember how small she was! The thing that makes them so fun (although it can be scary) being this small is that they are like a play doll :) SOOOOOOO fun! I remember reding Fiel for a couple months three days a week the summer after she was born! She was only three months old and it was a blast! Although I won't have that same experience with Kylie it will bring back memories I am sure! Last night when Taylor called to tell us he thinks Shannon's water broke we weren't sure if we should believe him since Saturday he called and joked with my mom about having cancer on his eye but sure enough they went to the hospital and her water and broken which could only mean she was for sure coming! And here is the best part...she is born 10 days after my birthday!!!!!!!! Such fun! I can not wait to meet her in a couple weeks when she comes home from the hospital! She will be in the NICU for a couple weeks since she is a preemie but she is doing great!

into my pasta I finally realized that the parmesan cheese was overly strong in taste...so naturally I looked a the bottle, this is what it read....


Just in case you can't tell that bottle says best by 07/10/10!!!!!!!! PEOPLE JULY TENTH TWO THOUSAND AND TEN! GROSS!!!! Yeah so I didn't finish my plate. (do not worry..as I was literally throwing away my food I was thinking of the starving kids in Africa) the taste was a little too strong for me. I had to throw it out. Now I know that cheese only gets better with age but I am not a sharp cheese kind of girl. Wooo eeee not gonna use that jar anymore!

I am going to be....

...a AUNTIE again today! Baby Kylie (name my be changed if she comes out out looking like a kylie) is on her way! 6 weeks early so she will be a premie but hey we like to have the granddaughters early around here! my first niece was 5 or 6 weeks early and was 4lbs 14oz. And 16.5 inches long so baby k has some competition ha ha ha my mom is heading up to Logan later today (it is only 12:46 AM) and she will get picture and don't you worry I will be posting them! Since Kylie will be early She will be in the NICU for probably two weeks most likely. So I will not be able to see her! Can I just say I am going to like this little peanut she is coming 10 days after my birthday!!!!!!!!! WOOT! She is supposed to not come till June 3rd but hey who's complaining :) in the mean time I think I will try to fall asleep now!

Alright so I bought five new bottles! With two of those being the same thing in the same color! I tell ya bloggers that shatter nail polish is NEAT-O!!!!!!! Awesome awesome stuff I tell ya!

Road trip!!!!!!!!!

While coming back from good ol' Wally World with my mom we were driving up a street by my house and saw this!


Now that my friends is what I call a road trip! Ha ha ha talk about cheap too! You don't have to book a hotel! Just park your car and climb on top. Ha ha ha we thought it would be funny to send a picture to my brother and his wife saying this was the crib we got for him. So we decided to run home grab my iPad and go back to snatch a photo! Ha ha ha ha ha we had a pretty good laugh at it. My brother called and said ha ha very funny where is the real picture? He apparently didn't find our humor very funny tonight. Oh well!

Confession

I have a obsession... Its not a bad obsession. Just one that makes me feel like a girl. I have had this obsession for a while. It has gotten more expensive...as I have found a new/nicer/better/cuter brand. It's a healthy obsession. I used to have a purse feddish. I still love purses no doubt about that but I just have a hard time finding cute purses that are within my wanting price. I have a hard time paying more then $25 (and that is pushing it) on a purse. I love new purses for a while but then I hardly ever use them again after I switch to a new one. So I stick with cute but not as up-to-date purses. No I do not buy them at the thrift store because that my friends is nasty . Who knows what has been kept in that purse or where it has been. I just go and get the purses that are on clearance. The ones that are cute just not up to fashion so to speak. Anyways so this obsession I started talking about before I got on the whole purse subject is this my friends....NAIL POLISH!!!!!!!





Since I started beauty school I have fallen in love with OPI brand. So amazing!!!!! You can find it at stores for around $8.50 I however, with my professional discount, get it for half that. (and sometimes cheaper if it is a discontinued color.) I have (hold on while I count) 21 OPI colors and 10 China Glaze colors which is just as good as OPI I think. That is about $120 give or take a little bit in nail polish!!!! Keep in mins I have probably eh double that in other, not so nice, brands so I wager about $160 in nail polish. Think of the cute purses in could buy with that money. But then again my nails would look so boring especially in the summer time when I wear sandals EVERYDAY!!!! N we couldn't have that. So bloggers you now know my guilty pleasure. If you wanna get me a present anytime nail polish will do just fine and just so you don't have to break your bank on me I do like ice brand in the cheap ones.


Better put the nail polish back into the drawer and go to bed so I can have a Happy Birthday tomorrow!!!!!!! Yay for turning the big 21!!!!!!

Kelsee and Riley at their best!


And I could not be more excited!!!!!! Me and Kelsee went to Jr High and High School together. We didn't hate each other we just didn't talk much. Me and Katee (her twin) talked more then me and Kelsee. About a year and a half after graduation Riley went to her birthday party. Thought she was cute and it's been bliss ever since. Ha oh how I live this girl though she makes me laugh. She is feisty with a capital F. She puts up with Riley so well. She puts him in his place and makes him so happy. She is so funny with her little ways. A few weeks ago I was sleeping over at her house because her parents were out of town and as we were going to sleep I said "Kelsee I think it's funny how we were enemy's in High School but we didn't talk much and here we are now having sleep overs and your practically my sister by now." Sometimes Riley will say something about her loosing me better then she likes him and she with her wit says I knew her before I ever knew you I even knew Peter before I knew you so there you have it folks that them at their best :)

Curls

Dear fellow bloggers I just found THE BEST hair product out there if you have curly or wavy hair. I have the latter. The wavy hair. I wish it was curlier but alas it's not. So today I ran to the beauty supply store in search of MoroccanOil Shampoo and Conditioner. So I got in my car and drove to Peerless Beauty Supply because that my friends is where they sell the MoroccanOil brand products. (in my bias opinion they should make this stuff available to only licensed professionals) it is that nice of a product. So I grab my shampoo and conditioner off the shelf and while I grab the needed (okay not needed but wanted) items i give into myself and grab the (drum roll please for dramatic effect) CURL CONTROL CREAM (insert heavenly choirs here) let me tell you it is THE BEST stuff! I have somewhat curly hair and it will go pretty curly if I put mousse AND hairspray in it but it always goes crispy. Well not anymore!!!!!!! I get the beach wave look as of right now but it is supposed to enhance curls so, hopefully like all good products do, eventually I will have luscious locks. You think I am over exaggerating???? Just wait a couple more weeks you will want to get this stuff and try it out yourself. Oh and P.S. It smells AMAZING!!!!!!!
